I can get visa or mastercard (don't rememeber which offhand) gift cards easily enough at my mall and so long as I can use those instead, I wouldn't need to use paypal.

Pay Pal doesnt work with maestro card... so this is not an option for me. And I cant get Visa/American Express or any kind of credit card/ card with credit on it.

What options do you give us?...

Id also like to say that im very dissapointed in this new system you seem to have introduced. This "korean" like gaming system, get special items by purchasing something from the online store.. very bad. I understand you need money for GW2 but your biggest fans that dont have the possibility to buy from the store or have friends to get stuff for them, are dissapointed big time.

The first and last time i used Paypal i got charged 7 pounds and it's quite confusing, or at least was to me.
I also used to get many spoof emails claiming to be from paypal, phishing for my details.

I have since avoided it like the plague.

I got a Creditcard, and i'm using mainly that - bought two expansions and other stuff in the GW store with it as well. Don't really like PayPal, but thats more of a personal thing.

It's not unusual to use PayPal here in Germany though, as not everybody has a Credit Card (because most just use the European EC-Cash system, which is quite comfortable but not very common in online purchases). In general i say the more paying possibilites the better - why not PayPal, it's a start for european user who don't have a CC, as you can also use PayPal just with a bank account over here as well.

Aside from paypal and credit card, are there any payment method that Anet would like to consider?

In the GW wiki, it says there that Anet is looking on SMS payment? Kindly enlighten us about this Ms. Gray? How does this work? Thank you

I have a paypal account but I also have a CC and I'd rather use my CC so I voted no.

I've used Paypal for stuff I've bought on Ebay before. I've found that they have poor customer service and are either slow on conflict resolution or give you the runaround. Paypal, for me, is unreliable at best. To use it for PlayNC purchases seems unnecessary unless they stop accepting credit cards.

I would use PayPal. It doesn't require a Credit Card. I don't have a Credit Card. I would have bought alot through the online store in the past if you accepted PayPal - PvP Packs, character slots - and now I have 2 PvE roleplaying games I don't play and never intend to play, and have spent countless hours grinding to unlock via faction what I could have had earlier and saved money, too.

Currently the only time I use PayPal is to pay for numerous domain registrations and remote web hosting services. It has been easy and problem-free.

Just any other way to buy things at the online store would do, because now a lot of european customers can't buy anything and feel left out.

Why not...Because the ingame shop takes my form of UK debit card , the solo card.

so why would i need to use something else, which has been mentioned in earlier posts, that would need ANET to increase their charges because paypal siphons it...OR ANET suffers the costs of the offset and sticks to the same pricing structures.

Paypal has been open to too much fraud in my opinion, with scams and phishing sites too.

I have a credit card but I'd prefer to use PayPal.
Edit: I should note I've only ever used PayPal for Ebay and to me it's alot safer than throwing aorund credit card details.

"No I would not use PayPal"

I have no PayPal, no credit card. I pay all my online purchases via bank transfer, pay-to-postman (Called rembours in my country) or with a bill I pay via bank after receipt. I'll get the retail version of EotN.

But again, please don't forget your retail customers. Don't exclude us from having access to these bonus missions which seem to have some considerable storyline parts to tell.

I have a Paypal account for ebay, but that's all I use it for. I'm perfectly happy using my card on the NCSoft site because I previously bought character slots and there were no problems at all. I think at the time the online store was implemented it wouldn't accept my card, like the Canadian poster above, but then the choice was expanded and it was possible again, which was good. More credit and debit card choices would limit the number of people with no option to use the store/a need for Paypal.

So I'm not one of the people Paypal would help, but that doesn't mean I don't think it should be implemented :-)

No, I would not use PayPal. (Please explain)
Even though I do have a PayPal account ( do quite a bit of book selling on eBay) I'd rather use my credit or debit card in the online store.

That said, I haven't yet and nor am I sure I ever will unless NCSoft bring in a limited amount of password attempts before the account is locked down. Have they done that yet?

If so, I'm happy to be corrected, but I have major doubts about using a service that doesn't have that most basic level of security.

Plus I prefer a boxed product.

I certainly would get a paypal account just to buy me some more char slots, and definelty that special offer that is going on right now, i want that so bad.

So yeah bring it on.

(Valve did it to with Steam, also after a lot of discussions but its here, so if they can do it, so could you Anet.)

The question isn't, "Can it be done?", because we already know it can... The question is, "Is is cost afective or not?"
